Have over the past 4 months been uploading pictures to Alamy in the vain hope of getting a sale. This is quite a frustrating process with the quality checks and the sheer effort involved in adding metadata to your pix. I've now reached the dizzy heights of 150 images on sale, but will likely need to be near the 1,000 mark before any likelihood of a sale - that'll be about 4 years time then!

27 Inch Monitor Madness

After weeks of almost buying a Dell 24" Ultrasharp, finally plumped for the 27" version after Dell went mad with their discounts. Found an offer that was not only 25% off, but also managed to bag another 10% + free shipping, bringing final price down to £395, cheaper than the 24". Cheapest I could see on Internet from 3rd party supplier was £450, and a whopping £200 offthe non-discount Dell price.
First impressions - it's bloody big!! Picture though is superb and editing photos is better given the greater screen size and resolution particularly after my old 17".

Raw Iona
Bit of an experiment, thought I'd wrap a number of pix up into a video file and suffer the wrath of my fellow photographers and contacts!
Images include the cairn on the hill of Dun-I and views looking out to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles, followed by the beach of Traigh na Criche on the northern tip of the Isle, and then Port Ban on the western side, replete with sheep and JCB's. Final images are looking east to Fionnphort on eastern side with a sunset over Dun-I taken from Fionnphort.
No music, so you'll have to hum and whistle a tune yourselves!

Skye Sky
An oldie but goldie. Original was taken on an overcast day travelling up the east coast of the Isle of Skye. To give the image some more bite, removed the washed out sky and superimposed a dusk sky originally taken on the North Kent Coast. Have again duplicated the sky, rotated and flipped and stretched and blended with the water.
Hopefully have managed to keep faith with the origibal serene location, offset with the lone dwelling on the far bank.

Elgol
Taken at Elgol on the Isle of Skye at sunset. Originally a bland photograph, but livened up by the addition of a new sky, duplicated and overlaid on the water to produce the golden tones.
